Commission
To get a quote, you'll need a reference sheet of the character you want made. This applies even if you're only wanting a head or partial costume.
Commissions are only accepted once a contract has been signed and a 50% deposit has been made. Note that a DTD ("Duct Tape Dummy") of you is required to make a fullsuit costume.
Progress pictures of your costume's build will be sent along the way, so you can comment or suggest improvements or slight changes. Keep in mind that once the suit is complete, patterns will not be taken apart and re-done — so be clear about what you're wanting when placing an order.
Guarantees
If the costume received is not working how it should, provided the client's information was accurate and it was our fault something is malfunctioning, we'll be available to fix the problem within 60 days from the client receiving the costume via post.
If after eight months the commission has not been completed, the client is entitled to a cancellation and complete refund of their commission.
Restrictions
- No costumes of characters with copyrights or trademarks will be made. When placing an order, you acknowledge that you own the copyrights, trademarks, or other distribution/usage rights of your character and assume responsibility for it.
- You acknowledge and allow for a maximum completion time of eight months. Commissions are often finished earlier, but you agree to this to allow for unexpected circumstances that might delay your order.
- No real animal parts are used in any costumes — no real leather, fur, teeth, noses, antlers, etc. All work is made of synthetic materials: fur is artificial, and noses, teeth, horns, or antlers are made from plastics, fake leather, or other man-made materials.
- No responsibility is held for damages, injuries, or allergic reactions related to the work. Costume use is under the client's own responsibility.
- Pictures or video footage taken of your commission may be used to promote the business.
Payment
The 50% deposit must be paid within seven days of receiving the contract, otherwise the commission may be cancelled. The remaining balance must be paid in full before work begins.
If the client cancels the commission for any reason, 10% will not be refunded — this goes toward materials and spending funds, and serves as a consistency check that the commission is affordable for the client. This 10% is non-negotiable.
Preferred method of payment is bank transfer.
Measurements and Duct Tape Dummies
Accurate measurements and a Duct Tape Dummy provided by the client are required. A DTD tutorial is available to help — have a look through it before starting one. Note: if incorrect measurements are provided and the suit doesn't fit, it will not be taken back and re-made unless an agreement is reached on the cost of edits.
Shipping
Shipping is free! However, import duties, taxes, and other charges are not included in the item price — these are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine additional costs prior to commissioning.
Shipping normally takes 4–7 working days. Delays may occur due to customs issues or holiday periods.
